Sharjah Ruler’s Novel ‘The Daring’ Translated Into Greek

Al Qasimi Publications has completed the translation of the novel, “Al Jaria’h” (The Daring) by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, into Greek.

The novel, translated by Vasiliki Veliccora and reviewed by Dr. Eleni Babilia and Dr. Ahmed Ali, aligns with Al Qasimi Publications’ mission to connect with readers of diverse languages worldwide.

Al Qasimi Publications aims to shed light on the rich content of scientific, historical, literary, fictional, and theatrical works authored by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. Through translation into foreign languages, the publishing house also seeks to introduce His Highness’s works to a global audience.

The Daring novel is a historical narrative that delves deep into past events, aiming to uncover factual truths and lessons while confronting historical falsifications.

The novel’s narrative revolves around its protagonist, Marie Petit, affectionately known as ‘the bold,’ and her relationship with the French diplomatic mission to Persia in 1702.

A notable aspect of this narrative is the description provided by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, who said: “The novel’s events are well-documented.” With its depiction of real events and lifelike scenes, the novel aims to illuminate the historical period in which the story unfolds, offering insights into various aspects of that time.
