The library of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation specializes in modern and contemporary Arabic literature and boasts more than 20,000 titles. It includes literary books from various genres, such as short story collections, novels, translated fiction, biographies, plays and poetry collections as well as literary studies, encyclopedias and literary criticism books. The library also comprises a wide selection of journals, periodicals and magazines in addition to various publications in the fields of theology, philosophy, history, geography and the humanities.

The library aims at promoting culture and intellectual awareness among the general public. It provides a quiet reading hall as well as the services of a librarian to guide visitors and offer prompt assistance with their library and research needs.

The library’s collection is currently available for in-house use only and external borrowing is not permitted.

Library Services

The Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation has equipped its library with the latest publications and with computers with free internet access. In addition, the Foundation offers various library services such as providing a wide collection of the latest Arab literary publications, periodicals, journals and magazines.

The Foundation is also keen on equipping its library with the latest titles covering various genres of modern Arab literature, such as poetry, fiction, short stories and plays, as well as literary and critical studies.

The library welcomes visitors from Sunday – Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (except on public holidays).
