‘Similarity and Abstraction in Image’ new tilte of SAPACR13

The General Secretariat of Sharjah Award for Plastic Art’s Critical Research (SAPACR) has adopted “Similarity and Abstraction in Image: Arab Formation as a Model” as a title for the 13th edition, comes under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of Cultural Affairs in the Department of Culture, Secretary-General of the Prize, confirmed that the new edition comes in the context of completing the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah regarding fine arts.

Al Qasir added that the Award has constituted a critical landmark in the Arab world, discussed vital artistic topics in twelve consecutive editions with renewed titles, and in its continuous research context, it strengthened its crucial presence in the field of arts through its material and moral support for Arab critics, in shaping its identity.

The Secretary-General of the Award set a deadline for registration of the participating research, and the results of the winners will be announced next December.
