Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation Releases “Ambassador Extraordinary – Ahmed Al Jasmi”

The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation has released “Ambassador Extraordinary – Ahmed Al Jasmi”, a new book by playwright Abdulellah Abdulqader that chronicles the life and distinguished artistic journey of Emirati artist Ahmed Al Jasmi.

The publication offers an in-depth look at Al Jasmi’s career, tracing his contributions to theatre and television and exploring the cultural impact of his work across decades of creative engagement.

Published as part of the “Emirati Figures” series, the 294-page volume, published in medium format, features testimonies by Mohammed Al Ameri, Dr Yousif Aidabi and Dr Habib Ghuloom. It also includes dozens of photographs documenting the history of theatre in the UAE through the career of Al Jasmi, alongside selected scenes from his many stage productions spanning more than four decades.

The book forms part of the “Emirati Figures” project, a cultural documentary series dedicated to highlighting the lives and legacies of prominent Emirati personalities across scientific, literary and artistic fields. The initiative publishes biographical works on influential Emiratis, including poets, writers and thinkers, who have shaped the country’s cultural landscape. It aims to preserve their achievements, introduce new generations to the UAE’s history and culture, and encourage research and engagement with Emirati heritage.
