– Master’s degree in Philosophy – Faculty of Arts, Cairo University (1984).

– PhD. in Philosophy – Faculty of Arts, Cairo University (1993).

• Career and memberships:

– Faculty Member – The Department of Philosophy (Faculty of Arts, Helwan University).

– Member of the Egyptian Writers’ Union.

– Member of the Poetry Committee – Supreme Council of Culture, Egypt.

– Member of the House of Poetry in Cairo.

– Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Egyptian magazine Ebdaa (from 1991 to 2014).

– He has been representing Egypt in notable poetry festivals and cultural conferences around the world since the 1980s and until today.

-Selections from his poetry have been translated into several foreign languages, such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Greek.
