Emirates Creative Association To Host Marine Cultural Forum On December 2-3

In celebration of the UAE’s 54th National Day, the Emirates Creative Association is organising the “Creative Marine Cultural Forum”, scheduled to take place on 2–3 December. The event will feature a group of Emirati and expatriate artists in an open-air artistic setting that reflects the spirit of the Emirati marine environment.

Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Emirates Creative Association, stated that the forum introduces a fresh approach to artistic events, as the association has chosen to take art exhibitions out of enclosed halls and into open spaces by the sea, creating a visual harmony that unites art, nature, and culture.

He added: “We seek to break stereotypes and establish creative spaces that express the identity, culture, and rich maritime heritage of the UAE, highlighting the beauty of visual art through the elements of nature, the sea, and light.”

Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi noted that holding the forum at this time carries a message of loyalty to the nation’s icons and a tribute to those who contributed to its progress. It also reflects pride in the journey of the Union, founded by the nation’s leaders, and instils national values in the hearts of younger generations.

He explained that the participating artists will present works that explore the relationship between people and the sea, capturing the essence of the coastal environment and helping to enrich the public’s aesthetic and artistic awareness.
