Arabic Poetry House in Fujairah Launches its Publishing Initiative with Four New Releases

The Arabic Poetry House in Fujairah (Darat Al Shi’r Al Arabi) has launched its publishing initiative with four diverse releases, marking the beginning of the institution’s literary works in the field of poetry.

The publications are part of the house’s ongoing efforts to promote Arabic poetry in all its forms and manifestations, connect with Arab poets and their experiences, document the journeys of late poets, and celebrate the translation of poetry.

The first releases include the following titles: “Go and Catch a Falling Star, a collection of selected poems by one hundred poets writing in English, chosen and translated by poet Dr. Shihab Ghanem; “The Ruby Ring”, a poetry collection by Jordanian poet Jumana Al Tarawneh; “Munadamat”, a debut poetry collection in Nabati (Bedouin) style by Emirati poet Aisha Al Kindi.

The releases also include “Mohammed Khalifa bin Hader Al Muhairi: Poet of Freedom and Life”, a book by writer Ibrahim Al Hashemi, featuring a selection of both classical and colloquial poems by the late Emirati poet and writer, Mohammed bin Hader Al Mahiri.

They represent an important step in supporting the goals of the Arabic Poetry House in Fujairah, which seeks to preserve and promote the status of poetry throughout the ages, celebrate its significance in the Arab heritage, support emerging poetic talents, and enrich the Arab library with distinctive publications.
