Al Owais Cultural Foundation to Host Major Symposium on Arabic Calligraphy

In light of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will be hosting a grand art exhibition under the title of “Al Owais Symposium on Arabic Calligraphy”. The event will take place at 7:30pm on Monday, September 19, 2022, and will be held at the Grand Exhibition Hall of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai.

This exceptional exhibition features calligraphers who represent various styles of Arabic calligraphy; where words are harmoniously manifested through careful arrangements of consonants and vowels and the creative use of color and ornamentation. Through the art of calligraphy, Arabic letters are brought to life and go beyond the frames of paintings that contain them to touch the hearts and feelings of the audience. Their fluidity and elegance are pleasing to esthetes and people of exquisite taste, as they bring together authenticity and modernity and infinitely combine the aesthetics of plastic art with the beauty of Arabic calligraphy.
