The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation has concluded its celebration of the Year of Zayed by issuing a desk calendar adorned with quotes by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan \u2013 May Allah have mercy upon him) calligraphed by Syrian plastic artist Khaled Mustafa Al Tabaa. The quotes were part of a plastic art exhibition hosted by Al Owais Cultural Foundation in September 2018. The aforementioned exhibition was inspired by the remarkable progress witnessed by the artist in the UAE, which compelled him to employ his art to thank the Founder of the United Arab Emirates, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan \u2013 May Allah have mercy upon him – by selecting some of his quotes and presenting them in a style that echoes their meaning and reflects the rich heritage they carry, using various techniques including the metallic golden color against backgrounds of different colors ranging from white to black.<\/span><\/p>\n

The calendar sheds light on some of the timeless quotes of the late Sheikh Zayed – May Allah have mercy upon him \u2013 including: \u201cThe best investment should be in creating educated and cultured generations\u201d. Another giant painting highlights another quote by the late Sheikh Zayed: \u201cWe are keen on preserving our authentic traditions and heritage no matter how far we tread into the frontiers of civilization\u201d. The calendar also includes Zayed\u2019s timeless quote: \u201cArab oil is not dearer than Arab blood.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The front side of the new calendar shows a picture of the late Sheikh Zayed – May Allah have mercy upon him \u2013, while the final page includes an image inspired by the desert. The calendar comes in an elegant cardboard box and is distributed by Al Owais Cultural Foundation both in the UAE and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n
