H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, honoured on Thursday at Al Safia Palace in Ajman, the 33 winners of the 33rd edition of the Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Sciences from the UAE and GCC countries.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development was present.

The winners competed in the six areas of the award, which was established in 1983.

The honouring ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ajman Ruler’s Representative for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Tourism Development Department; Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department; Dr. Sheikh Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chief of Ruler’s Court, Juma Al Majid, Chairman of the Dubai Economic Council; Salem bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Adviser of Ajman Ruler for Education and Charity Work; Abdullah Amin Al Sharfa, Adviser at Ruler's Court; as well as several Sheikhs, ministers, ambassadors, advisors, executive directors, and heads of federal and local departments and senior officials.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi stated that the Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Sciences has been culminated with the honourable journey of knowledge seekers full of knowledge, research and scientific achievements. He added that they were following in the footsteps of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who made the education a priority. The development of nations is measured by the level of education, the Ruler of Ajman said.
